Vintage Ansen Sprint Slot Mag Wheels 15X8 GM Ford Mopar 5 on 4.5 4.75 REAL DEAL

  

This is a pair of vintage Ansen Sprint slotted aluminum wheels from the 1960's-1970's. They are 15x8 size and have about 3 1/8 inches backspacing.

The bolt pattern is unilug which means you can use different inserts to allow these to fit 5 on 4.5 and 5 on 4.75 patterns. There may also be inserts for 5 on 5. That's right, these wheels can fit both. 5 on 4.5 is common to Ford, Mercury, Mopar, Studebaker, and other passenger cars of the 50's-90's. 5 on 4 3/4 is common to GM passenger cars of the 50's-90's.

The wheels currently have 5 unilug inserts for 5 on 4.5 wheels. These wheels came to me with a pair of 15x8.5 Ansen Sprint Wheels with a 5 on 4.75 direct bolt pattern which can be found in my other listings. These rims are in good original condition as shown. They look great as they are and would look even better with some cleaning, detailing, and polishing.

The wheels came to me with matching tires and were definitely being used on the same car. That said, the wheels are very slightly different. The difference is on the very outer lip of the rim. One rim has a lip that curves slightly outward and the other has a stepped lip as shown.

This is a very minor difference that I can't imagine will be noticed, especially if the wheels are on opposite sides of the car. One wheel has a chip in the casting inboard of one of the unilug holes as shown.
