1961 & 1962 Chevy Impala, Biscayne, Bel Air, Column Shift Automatic, Tilt Steering Column. This Steering Column is made in the USA by ididit. This listing is for the CHROME Column. These are also available in Black Powder Coat and Paintable Steel. This retrofit column is designed to fit your Impala, Belair or Biscayne and does NOT require modification to your original vehicle to install. The shift pattern on the column allows you to use either a 3 or 4 speed automatic transmission. A shift linkage kit is required for installation and will attach to the lower shift arm provided on the column. Simply remove your old column, saving your original under dash mount and floor mount and using one of our installation kits, you can install your new column in place of the old.

Add an aftermarket wheel and the gripping surface of the new wheel will be in the same location as the original. Column comes complete with 8-position tilt, neutral safety switch, self-canceling turn signals, 4-way flashers, knobs & levers, 3 7/8" wiring plug, and a 3/4" 36 lower shaft.
